But it isn’t enough to have insurance – just like it isn’t enough to have cyber tools or processes in place. You need to have the trifecta AND be using them properly to minimise the risk of a breach and protect yourself legally and financially.
While cyber insurance isn’t mandatory for Australian businesses, recent changes in legislation are working to make organisations more accountable for data privacy and preventative measures.
